A continuing trend here in Virginia – winery grand opening parties!
This Saturday marks another grand opening party for the newest member of the Virginia winery family – DuCard Winery.
Earlier today I had the chance to catch up with Scott Elliff, owner of DuCard Winery, to finish an interview for a forthcoming blog post, and he provided the following information regarding their grand opening this Saturday:
Please join us for the Grand Opening of Virginia’s newest winery: DuCard Vineyards on Saturday August 7 as we celebrate the unveiling of our new tasting room. We will have special events, music, a gift for everyone, and our official ribbon cutting at 4PM Saturday, August 7. We are boutique winery in a gorgeous location at the edge of Shenandoah National Park with extensive patios with views of mountains, streams and vineyards. Our solar panel system makes us the only winery in Virginia that is fully solar powered, our building extensively uses local and reclaimed materials and we feature foods from local farmers and producers to accompany our wines.
If you plan to be in the Madison County area this weekend be sure to stop by DuCard Vineyards to celebrate their grand opening.

If you plan to be there early in the day, please let me know, would be great to meet and enjoy a glass of Virginia wine. In the meantime, you can see a video preview of DuCard Vineyards filmed by the duo at Swirl, Sip, Snark blog.
